Google has awarded (https://foundation.rust-lang.org/news/google-contributes-1m-to-rust-foundation-to-support-c-rust-interop-initiative/) a million dollar grant to integrate Rust with its C++ products. The goal of the grant is to accelerate the adoption of Rust, not just at Google, but across the industry.
Earlier (https://t.me/sysodmins/20862) Microsoft posted a software architect job posting that mentions (https://www.theregister.com/2024/01/31/microsoft_seeks_rust_developers/) the creation of a new development team to implement Rust and use it as the basis for modernizing globally scalable services.
