On January 17, Jiri Kyjovsky presented the workings of an AI-enabled tool called Log Detective to help developers analyze bugs during RPM package builds to explain in plain language why a failure occurred.

Each RPM package build produces thousands of lines of output divided into multiple log files. And the corresponding error message could be anywhere. <...> By teaching the AI model to understand the RPM build logs and explain the failure in simple words, giving recommendations on how to fix it, developers will not need to open these logs at all.

The project authors are working on collecting additional RPM build logs to train their AI model and are asking programmers to send them their logs.
